Drive time is the Dayparting in which radio broadcasters can reach the most people who listen to vehicle audio while driving, usually to and from work, or on public transportation. Drive-time periods are when the number of radio listeners in this class is at its peak and, thus, commercial radio can generate the most revenue from advertising. Drive time usually coincides with rush hour.
